Globe Valves

The globe valve is designed to stop and/or regulate the flow of fluids. The resistance to flow in a globe valve is greater than in a gate valve. Globe valves are able to open and close quickly and used in applications where frequent operation is required. Globe valves are well suited for difficult conditions and have a reliable form of seat and disk. The seat and disk in most globe valve designs can be repaired without the removal of the valve from the pipeline. However, globe valves are unsuited for sluggish fluids.
